Was AMC afraid to start a movie with a blank screen and Maureen Coyle shouting, "There is no God." This opening reminds of Night Gallery for some reason.

The background drawings/paintings have the same style as the ones in the prologue of the extended TV cut of David Lynch's Dune. Probably made by the same person.

This looks like an opening for an "Omen" sequel.

@NellieForbush You should buy the triple feature DVD with Psycho 2,3 and 4 on it. I think you'll like Psycho III, it's an artistic 80's slasher movie that makes you feel like you're taking a trip inside Norman Bates' mind.

I first saw Psycho III on a VHS copy that my parents had and I think I would have turned it off if they stuck with this opening.
