Speaker Pelosi on the Iraq Accountability Act

If the President follows through on his veto threat, he will be the one who has failed to provide our troops and our veterans with the resources they need and it will be the President who has rejected the benchmarks he announced in January to measure success in Iraq. The bill ensures our troops are combat-ready before they are deployed to Iraq, provides our troops the resources and health care they deserve in Iraq and here at home, and responsibly winds down this war.

I want to have measured progress goals for all the liberal entitlement programs, public schools, government workers, etc. If they don't meet the goals, pull the funding. I find it hilarious liberal suddenly what measurable goals!

Are you high or stupid? Teachers are evaluated anywhere from 2-4 times a year. We have benchmarks and standards. Not only that, but our "incentive pay" is based on student tests... so if students screw up their tests the teachers get screwed on pay. GOD FORBID we hold back a kid and hurt his itty bitty ego!

This is an example of what 'Liberalism' looks like. I used to be a democrat, but NOT NO MORE. The Military can keep the Tropops there without funding. The ploy to get the President to Veto a Spending plan with a Pull out date is so they can say "SEE, We tried to get Bush to Pull out but he still wants to wage his personal war and it isn't our fault that we gave him permision to use Troops for the U.N. operation earlier"...lol
