  • Superb layout and detail. I notice you dont put much ballast on your track, whats the reason for that?

  • @jasonandjoesrailway No reason at all except for the points where it causes problems, Think a lot of the under ballasted area`s are the older ones , I have since bought one of those ballasting aids, so getting more one these days.,

Thanks for the compliment on the layout

  • @PalomboDylan Thank Dylan , no live steam for me ,bit too complicated, and possible accidents

  • @howarth004 I am putting this layout in my book of best OO/HO scale model train layouts I've ever seen. Well done. If only you had a hornby live steam mallard or silver link on that layout then I would put this layout on the top of my list but right now it is the 2nd best one i've seen. as I said before superb and fantastic job.

  • Not had to move mine, but all I can say is remove as much as you can without damaging your track, or just selll the lot and start again at your new place

  • im moving soon and i have a layout like yours and i dont know how to move it, please can you help??

  • @howarth004

The size of it almost calls for it's own signal box! :) Or Hornby Rail Master or whatever it's called. (The computer thingy From Hornby for Model Railways)

I'm the same, I'm only ever happy with the track layout for a couple of months at a time, so I know what you mean... A siding there, a branch here, It never stops. Only gets worse when the weather is awful.... :)

  • @matthewt1501 Thanks Mathew..some of the points are contolled electricaly with switches and the rest by hand where I can reach. Laying the track is relativly easy, it is pulling it back up that is a problem (I keep changing the way it goes)
