Yogananda is so much more than an organization.
Beautiful!

Yogananda will certainly help your kundalini to rise and give you self realization - the purpose for your life.

I don't trust Swami Kryiananda. I went to the Ananda retreat in Assisi (Italy) and I left very, VERY perplexed. Bad vibes, strange people.
I think Roy Eugene Davis, on the other hand, is a real worthy disciple and a great teacher. His books are simply awesome.

I don't say that there are not many valuable paths,
I AM SAYING THAT IF YOU WANT TO WORK WITH YOGANANDAJI
and his lineage, He says do it through His work, SRF/Yss.
Can He be contained in an organization? "an organization is the
legthened shadow of a person"
Those who left the SRF/YSS have yet to prove themselves by
producing a Self-Realized soul, and at any rate - I HAVE ONLY quoted a few of the 100s
statements Yogananda made on this matter.
-
@Revolvingsound Yogananda said that those who are not working through SRF/YSS
will not be in the same position as those in sRF/YSS as "the link is broken. To Revolvings around, Yogananda made many clear comments regarding supporting and working through only SRF/YSS.

It is a question of feeling and loyalty. If you feel (not think) comfortable with Mr. Davis so be it. I could never follow him as I do our guru. Yoganandaji instituted SRF why anyone would serve him only half-way is a bewilderment to me. Yet, it is not for me to judge anyone's path. I do not believe Westerners understand the seriousness and blessedness of an avatar.

@pyisloved yes true. However nothing is said about other organizations or other Gurus or other ministers. SRF members will find help and blessings, and so will other members of Roy Eugene Davis group, and all others. Thinking SRF holds some mystery key to Babaji, or kriya is absurd.

“Those who have come to Self‑Realization Fellowship truly seeking inward spiritual help shall receive what they seek from God. Whether they come while I am in the body, or afterward, the power of God through the link of the SRF Gurus shall flow into the devotees just the same, and shall be the cause of their salvation.
..The ever‑living Babaji has promised to guard and guide the progress of all sincere SRF devotees. LH & SY will ever protect and direct the sincere members of SRF‑YSS.” PY said

Freedom is a God given blessing, that is the beauty of life given by something so deep, so profound and meaningful. Choose wisely. Do what you think is right for you and for your spiritual enlightenment. I would not dream to tell any other person how they should choose or what is, in my humble opinion right or wrong, despite appearances. It is better that we direct them to the Master presence and the consciousness within where there is no duality or form. Life is so short, too short.
(1)If it is false to think that Yogananda can be contained in an organization
why do persons keep creating them.
Before Yogananda left he singned a statement that gave
Self-Realization Fellowship the right of SRF to review the status
of all persons who wish to teach kriya on an annual basis.
Any other policy is wreckless.
If you like to think you are a devotee of Yogananda and do
not care to support and work with his cummunity in SRF,
You should reread his history.

@pyisloved "Methinks thou doth protest too much." It is obvious that you have no respect for a teacher, ordained by Yoganadaji, who has spent the past sixty years selflessly teaching as he was instructed to do by his guru. Yogananda taught love and acceptance, was nurturing and supportive to all, even those who would never be associated with SRF, like Luther Burbank, Joel Goldsmith, and Ernest Holmes, all of whom were initiated by him. May you be blessed to find Masters love in your own heart.

@pyisloved God is the true guru - according to Yogananda and his personal disciple Roy Eugene Davis

having known many SRF'ers from the 40s and 50s I happen to know that Yogananda himself instituted that policy of no outside teachers or teachings to protect his form of kriya yoga from being "diluted", whether this is true or not only time will tell since he only taught kriya preparation pranayam to Westerners, and reserved Kriya proper for "second kriya". Each guru makes his own choices and decisions for their own reasons and sometimes they are difficult to fathom.

@glovit Actually Paramahansaji authorized several individuals who were not monastics with SRF and had independent ministries to teach and initiate in the kriya yoga tradition. He taught the basic kriya pranayama at public functions and privately also taught other supplemental kriyas. When asked about advanced techniques he replied that the basic kriya pranayama is really all one needs to support one in awakening to Self- and God-realization.
