just hated that US used ships from japan and germany at that time for the tests.... a nice way they found to humiliate more the countries...

btw a side note: IJN Nagato survided the 1st nuclear test, only went down on the 2nd test :>

Its a test, they used old ships (some captured from the Germans and Japanese) from World War 2 to see the effects of a nuclear blast at sea.

Umm... No, Hirohito wanted to surrender after the first one. It was hideki tojo who had more power than him, and thus, overruled him. After the second bomb, the military counsul couldn't reach a agreement so they brought it to hirohito and went with whatever he said. Hirohito did not have absolute control over Japan, even though he was the emporer.
