Magnolia - what makes this a great film is the way 3 separate stories were woven together in an extremely tight timeline. Many moviegoers complained that it didn't make sense, it's confusing - these people requires car chases, pyrotechnics and blue-screen special effects to keep them focussed - and no story line....
This is not a movie for the 'hard-of-thinking'

I like this film - it shows sad and bitter truth in our political life. George Clooney always showed one and the same typical acting but Finally he looked great and not monotonous. But I still think that he didn't deserve the Oscar - just because he showed nice serious acting (for the first time by the way) doesn't mean that they should give him the Oscar. Academics and critics are as corrupted as politicians. Sad, very sad but I still love this film very much

There is no shortage in oil, its called European Oil Speculation. Its driven the price up for years. There's a massive oil reserve under ANWAR, another one under Northeastern Wyoming(Shale Oil, look it up), another big one under North Dakota that one being pretty massive. I beg to differ that we are on a shortage scale of the worldwide proportions.

Actually, we paid a fair market price for it. Stealing it is what governments do from their citizens. If the US was to get serious tomorrow and fade from the demand side of things, in a puff of Mr. Fusions, windmills and bio-generated fuel, The Chinese, Indians and Europeans would very much like to have a word with the leaders of the oil-producing states.

No I'm pretty sure the U.S. accepts it consumes most of the worlds oil (25%). They dont blame it on the chinese. Maybe idiots filling up they're hummers at the tank do but not anyone with half an education. You have a shortage in worldwide supply and an increasing worldwide demand so basically you have higher prices. Then throw in speculation from futures contracts and you get much higher prices. Everyone wants it and there's not enough.

Yes u r right let us fight until one of our countries gets destroyed and keep spending on fucking military keeping our populations starved to death. We don't realize our blunders and we still want to aggravate them. What good has it brought to our economies or to our people.
