If this system were actually used in real-scale road/train transportation systems, it would kill everyone's iphones, blackberries, and CD's pretty fast.

Until you can make this device do real work, I.E. charge a battery or produce more energy than the amount you use to start it,. it is just an illusion.
The #1 rule is, you do get something for nothing.

This is actually a great concept. You can see that it moves its self through the rings to the end of the line. If it works that far, why wouldn't it work the rest of the way. He probably doesn't have more rings due to cost. Materials can be expensive.
