Her Voice is the only reason i started loving her music..sprout and the bean hit me like a train..it is an unbeleivable track..and she has such an imagination, i wish i could write my lyrics like tat and get away with it

I love her voice. That's part of the charm. I guess the people who don't like her voice probably don't like Bob Dylan's voice either.

'Strue, I can't hate or dismiss Joanna Newsom altogether, though like many I was put off by her voice. The beautiful complex harp and lyrics keep me coming back... so here I am!

It's true.. she has a wonderfully orchestral mind, and I couldn't write music as good as she can if I spent 10 years honing my art. It's a shame people can't see past their distaste for her voice to the beauty of her compositions underneath. Not to mention her lyrics are some of the best poetry of modern times. You can analyze her music in the same way that literature teachers analyze stories.
