  • What a great song! Who is it talking at the beginning?

  • @chris123usa

I'm not certain on this, but I believe the person talking in the song was a speaker at Youth Day that took place in Canada 2002. Glad you enjoy the song!

  • @chris123usa

Unfortunately, it is Fr. Dale Fushek -- one of the sad parts of this song. I wish they would redo it without him. It is a great song that has been sullied by Fr. Dale (look him up -- defrocked priest/founder of LIFE TEEN).

  • @refreshing29 ; @Humble743 : That is too bad about the priest whom I heard about in the Catholic news but I didn't realize there was a connection with this great song by Maher. It still is an amazing song though about Our Lord and the faith. A remake would be a good idea.

  • his music always brings tears to my eyes. God really is with this wonderful wonderful artist!

I know he'll never see this but..

matt maher, i went to the san antonio lifeteen event a few years back after my parents had split. i was turning away from God and my faith because I felt betrayed. Your music and everything you said brought me back. It reminded me of the bigger picture, of what really mattered, and that i was NEVER alone. Thank youfrom the bottom of my heart.

    God bless you always!

  • as a catholic, this song is the eptiomy of the distinction between catholicism and protestantism. love you protestants all the same though :)

  • @AthosAmo You may be interested the various visions of Infant & Mother that have appeared to people & been depicted in art over the centuries. As Paul said, "I become all things to all men," in these visions, Jesus typically appears in the ethnicity of those to whom He is appearing. Chinese, African, Aztec... Yes, He chose to be middle Eastern for His 33 years on this earth - but Christ seems not to have limited Himself this way for eternity. After all, He is not any of these ethnicities.

  • Praying for Fr. Dale.

  • Vivat +Jesus+ Christus in Sanctissimo Sacramento Altaris!

  • @Blessings78 Then you should not complain if someone depicts Jesus as a bearded lady.

  • @AthosAmo I am a Christian, and I think what matters is WHO Christ is and WHAT he Represents. Color, language, looks, etc are not as important as HIS MISSION. Let's not focus so much on the exteriors that we miss the interior...In HIS LIKENESS we are all made. So does it matter how he looks like? I don't think so.

  • @Blessings78 You're right. What does it matter that whole swaths of mankind think they are a race they are not?

Now, if you're a Christian, you should care if someone misrepresents Christ, in any way.

  • @AthosAmo So WHO CARES??!!!!

  • Jesus didn't have long hair like a woman. Jesus had a full beard. Jesus was not Caucasian.

  • @AbundantDivineMercy bahahahaha get with reality!
