@sex6cult9revolution Ahhh, your view is a tad short sighted as in regards to Miles "giving" us 2 1/2 decades. I do believe Miles was recording in the 80's and early 90" so he " gave us" music to enjoy from 1949 to 1991. Sure you may like what he did during the years you mention, I tend to look at everything he did. "Rocket" was/is still seen as groundbreaking to this day, so enjoy more. Cheesy or not, supreme or not, I'll take all of Miles and Herbie:)

If you are old enough to remember these times, the beginning of 'technology meets music', you will realise these are a bunch of supertalented musicians just having a great time! Relax and enjoy! x x x x

@Kekspere He isn't the piano Bill Evans, but there is a saxophonist named Bill Evans who Miles mentions he played with in his autobiography.

I'd like to think it was just the time period. Herbie is probably just more taken by the playfulness of the keyboard - which we now look at as nothing but a completely cheesy toy... I mean, he was capable of better things than "rockit" but he was probably just feeling that.
Like George Clinton doing "Atomic Dog" - which also sounds very 80's looking back...
And Miles can't be blamed for anything. He gave us over two and a half decades of supreme music (1949-1975).
