I directly hold the overseas filipino population for the poverty in phillipines,a country with 11% of its population working and earning overseas fails to send enough money to their near and dear ones,i have met filipinos who are affluent enough in middle east and spends huge sum on show off on luxiry things,why on earth you need a Gucci,a reebok when back home people are suffering.
An Indian, a true friend of all filipinos.

@302acr43 ikaw ba may natulong at nagawa rin bayan mo? kung di ko pa alam isa karing gusto iwanan ang hirap sa bansa natin at maka punta sa ibang bansa.at para makiwas sa kahirapan sa sinasabi mong mahal mong bansa. @sondeleb have u seen poor children begging in the street without living with their parents? have u heard children caroling next to your door everynight and its the same group? d'you live in the philippines? this is why parents dont have enough money to pay their kids education. i feel sorry for the kids who couldn't even pursue their dreams to get a prestigious job. i feel ashamed for their parents having sex not for family planning, but pleasure.

@alicekawaz Somalia. There's wealth to be had in Philippines, but it would be impossible for it to be distributed equally. Somalia has no thriving industries or exports.

Actually, non-celebrity politicians get more money from the government than their celebrity counterparts do. And with the multitude or "real" politicians who even studied abroad, poverty is still evident in the Philippines. Hindi mo pwedeng sisihin na lang ang mga artista, iho, kaunti lang lang sila. Ang dapat sisihin ay yung mga nakaupo na congressman, gobernador at senador na nanggaling pa sa mga politikong angkan tapos mangungurakot din lang pala tulad ng mga kamag-anak nila.
