Would have loved to seen the Blackjacks take on Ole&Gene Anderson that would be a classic!

I agree. Why is a Japanese announcer broadcaster calling an AWA match? I've been watching a lot of AWA matches on here lately and I can understand why the company went out of business. It had been coming for quite sometime.

A entertaining match. The re-formed Blackjacks storyline was one of the best, but very shortlived & almost forgotten, great angles of the AWA during this era.

Dam! Letting almost all their top talent
WRESTLERS go to the wwe and having
Japan broadcasting of of AWA,,it's no
wonder Verne lost AWA WRESTLING.

Never knew Lanza had a "face" run.

one of the greatest feuds, but lost in wraslin history, The Blackjacks, Lanza, Mulligan with Heenan as there manager VS. The Crusher and Dick the Bruiser.
Another great video. Lanza was a very under-appreciated part of the AWA. As I watched this video, I wondered if Lanza ever held any AWA title (tag team, probably). I'm not sure, but I don't think so. One of the all-time greatest matches I ever saw live was Blackjack Lanza vs. Bobby Heenan in a Texas Bunkhouse (or maybe Bullrope) match in St. Paul - it floored most people who were there that day. I'm hoping this match is shown someday and available.
Again, thank you so much.

Blackjack Lanza held the AWA tag team title with Bobby Duncum Sr. from July 23, 1976 to July 7, 1977
