  • Amusing to hear George Duke trying to fit his gospel, jazz, and fusion licks into Zappa's hard rock drivel. Points to Duke for somehow making it work. Doesn't really fit, unfortunately, and the two differing worlds collide incorrectly. Surprising that Duke enjoyed himself in this situation, as it would be like Oscar Peterson trying to jam with Led Zeppelin.

  • @JohnnyFoster "Zappa's hard rock drivel."

    GTFO

  • Frank must have got the idea for 'flakes' from this guy lol ....apart from him amazing

  • @ifightaliens Dude! Just seeing the Swedish host's awesome 70's outfit deserved the thumb's up, but then, Frank!

  • been a zappa fanatic since 76 and LOVE most everything he ever did...... studio tan and sleep dirt being the most difficult works for me to "learn" to love. having heard almost everything he's recorded he still defies classification into any genre including "hard rock".

  • @jphnnyfoster: find a way to develop your lacking taste in music.

  • @JohnnyFoster I'd LIKE to hear Peterson and Zeppelin jamming. For what it's worth, I like things that don't fit and so did big Frank.

  • I got to study with the drummer Ralph Humphrey. He's bad ass.

  • @JohnnyFoster Hahahaha... yeah, I don't think you're going to be able to convince anyone with your drivel.

  • fuuunky

  • @EnterDaMatrix hahahahahaha right??? gtfo indeed. if by "drivel" he means dynamic harmonic/melodic aural superiority, and by "hard rock" means pretty much no style left unmolested... then sure. bahahahaha
