In total 10,600 tons was dropped in just 10 Days from over the North Sea from pretty Hungry & rationed Britain, USA - Emergency reserves filled up the planes, there are Videos on here showing how skinny the poor folks Rotterdam Amsterdam really were, sor many It may have come too late, but who could say this wasn't the USAF-RAF's Finest Hour!

Great footage, this was during WW2 pretty unbelievable but Decent German Govenor agreed folk were desperate-needed help (after a Gestapo Lunatic had been in charge & was fired) & Germans Royal Dutch family negotiated -talked Brits eisenhower , Amasingly it wasn't finalised-signed but agreed by word, English decided was no time to lose, loaded Lancasters and set off and announced it over BBC Radio they were on there way & please don't shoot, AND GERMANS DIDN'T , except by that 1 gun a mistake.
