@MrBristolian and the bigotry that followed was even worse. the mormons and african americans who had supported it were discriminated against in ways reminding me of bull connor's firehose tactics in the 60s, and those who had not supported it were mocked unfairly in some situations

I frankly find it disgusting that proposition 8 was approved by the Californian population. This is exactly the same sort of predujice the country suffered through during the times of black-white segregation.
