  • I saw it too... well, I saw the full version of the video this is taken from. The lyrics to this song, except for the first verse, are missing from the Coleman and Leigh archives. From when Coco starts singing to the end, there is no written copy of what he's singing, and the video is too garbled to make it out. Even Coco's understudy no longer remembers the words to the rest of the song- they're even scractched out on the show's piano/conductor score for the song! What a catastrophe for history

  • I saw this revival of "Little Me" and loved it. A very silly burlesque with some great songs. Victor Garber and James Coco played the men in the life of Belle Poitrine, played by Mary Gordon Murray. (Coco also played Victor Garber's mother.) This song (a "Citizen Kane" parody) was added for the revival, as well as a terrific new openng number, "Don't Ask a Lady," sung by Jessica James, as the "older" Belle, the narrator of the absurd rags-to-riches-to-rags story.

  • What a great find! Thanks very much.

  • So cool to see this. Can't say I'm familiar with the show or song in the least, but I'd imagine so much of James Coco's stage career will only ever be seen by those who were there.
