Just got back from LOWE'S with smoke stack extension and some high heat gasket sealer and weather stripping for my smokin pro. Need to get two temp gauges off of E BAY.

ok, I'm looking for a new grill and I was going to buy a custom one but for my current home it would be too big and too heavy so I guess I'll go retain again.
I think I"m going to get a Char grillier. I used a Brinkman for about 10 yrs and its had it LOL

I used to have a larger brinkman smoker grill, which I miss too much, now I have a smaller grill like the one you have. These mods are great, This is a wonderful little grill, and my only regret is that I can't make ice-cream on it. Thanks for the vid.

@Leodphi Just hammer it out. They pre-cut it already.

I just got my CG last month and want to add wheels to it. It will be too hard to move once the side fire box is attached. I was happy to find your video with your mods. Can you tell me what size wheels and casters you used? Also dId you use the axel that came with the grill or did you buy another one and if so what diameter was it? Thanks.

I used hand dolly tires purchased from Tractor Supply. They are 4x3.5 I believe. I used the axle that came with the Griller, but it is smaller than the bearings in the wheels. I used bushings to make up for the difference, but Tractor Supply also sells round steel stock that could be used for a correct sized axle. The front casters are for a tool box, but they are too small. I plan to replace them with larger semi-pneumatic casters at some point.

Thanks alot man! I just got mine in June and i was doing some of the mods that you did and I went to lowes to get the dryer vent and i got 3 inch vent to clamp to the smoke stack but when I got home i noticed that the stack was flared out a little bit on the end and the dryer vent wont go over it. I noticed that 4 inch was too big. Did you have to cut the flared part of the stack off or what? Iam really anxious to get this done! Thanks!

@EWRacing76
I was able to work the vent over that flare, just kept working it back and forth until it went. It tore just a hair, but once the clamp was on there were no issues.
Thanks for watching!

nice mods I tink I'll use the dryer vent hose and the two more temp gauges. One question where does the free end of the vent hose go to? I love my char griller I've cooked all kinds of bbq on it and have not been disappointed in it.

0:54 shows the dryer vent, running from the stack down to just above the grill grates. The picture shows the bolt holding it to the hood, as well as the hose clamp holding it to the stack. Extending the stack this way really helps keep the heat in the main chamber, as well as evening out the temps from left to right.
