playing some tool. I listened really hard to the song and tried to get it as close as I could to the studio version with the limited amount of drums and cymbals i had. Tell me what you think.
If you're trying to get it like the studio version why aren't you hitting everything hard? I stroke my cat harder than you hit those cymbals of yours :)
@EllisG123 Do you work for Zildjian and want to sponsor me? I don't get them for free, therefore I try not to beat the shit out of them because they can crack and they're expensive. And trust me I was hitting them pretty hard, the overhead perspective of the camera leads you to think otherwise though.
it's called a slide, you do the first hit on the bass, then slide your foot up and do a quick second hit. Hopes that helps, im sure they're videos on youtube about it
two wireless mics, one up in the suspended ceiling above me and the other on that milk crate in front of my bass drum. The mics are Nady and cost $30, and all i do is plug the mic receiver into my laptop and use sony vegas to edit and play with the audio a little.
probably most accurate cover of song i have found...
