  • Beautiful. Buddy groovin and swinging like crazy. Watching a clip like this makes me see just how highly evolved he was as a player.

  • @fess04 Thank You for watching.

  • Walt Andrus I saw the Band in the Tampa area including the State Fair. Remember you. I first saw the band in Columbus, early 50's. His own band made a hit with Night Train.

  • Thank You for your nice comments.Check out my others. swinginkatz

  • @MrAudioProducer 1986. It was a PBS Special. Ended up being Buddy Rich's LAST TV appearance...I joined the band after this show...

  • They're trying their hardest, knowing Buddy is driving... but... Beards and Corrective Lenses (glasses) ??.... Tommy would have put his foot down hard.

  • Great break at 2:27!! :-)

  • Simple...The other fine musicians can't keep up....Piano player especially.

  • When it was gathered? Year?

  • wow-every arrangement is different slightly but WOW!!

  • Buddy leaves no doubt he is the greatest musician who ever lived - amazing how good he was right up til the end. Walt, I saw you perform many times - great vocals, thanks! You can sing with my band any time you're in upstate NY!
