u guys all known that bolt ran the 400 as a junior and ran 45.35 @ 17 yrs old!? and is the only junior athlete to break 20. in the 200. so he is jus pure talent. and as far as the 400 if he trains right just a month or so he can probably break 45

you talk about the olympic final of bolt here i guess. i talk about the average and merrits finish he performed here is def faster than bolt avereage. last 10 m insignificant? ive seen so many races lost there, because someone dipped too early for the line.

Maybe as fast but definitely not faster. 9.55 = 9.60 with no wind. 9.27 = 9.25 with no wind. Bolt's last 100 is 0.35 better than Merritt's so even though Merritt's finish is good, Bolt will not slow down significantly enough for Merritt to maintain the gap over the last 10/20m. Plus, Merritt is inarguably slower over the last 50 of a 200 than Bolt so he won't be able to hold Bolt at the very end. Besides the last 10m is fairly insignificant, last 50m is much more important

No it's not, I timed Lashawn Merritt a couple of times on this video and his last 100m was around 9.55s. That's with a tailwind of +0.8m/s.. In Berlin when Bolt ran 19.19, his last 100m was 9.27s. Into a headwind. of -0.3m/s.
