We cannot imagine planets formed in an atmosphere of carbon unless we travel some 26 light years away in the midst of our galaxy , those planets are made in a carbon world they have carbon lakes carbon atmosphere , they sparkle because compressed carbon forms diamonds ,, but they are not earth like planets and the Keppler mission is searchiing for planets that look like earth by special instruments detecting suns whose lights are blocked by a planet the size of ours !
@sonofboognish As have I! I saw this exact part at my friend's place, but they were dicks and changed the channel and wouldn't let me watch, haha. I know it was on National Geographic, but if someone can name me the exact show, I'd be grateful. I'm very sure it's part of a series, since my friend's changed the channel because they were complaining that "space shit" had been on T.V. all day. So if anyone can help out, please let us know!

it is such a goddamn shame that our universe probably has more worlds like ours full of sentient life than there are grains of sand in the sahara desert but they are all so far from each other that most of them will never encounter each other, I doubt there will ever be a star trekkian "united federation of planets". Imagine what an amazing thing it would be to make contact with other races

Awesome vid. Loved this special...one question though...what the hell is going on in the background at 0:22-0:27? Whatever it is, it sounds naughty.
