I noticed a birthday cake in the promo several times-- this was to coincide with WXII's 35th anniversary at the time, right?

And over 20 years later, "Entertainment Tonight" (one of the shows featured in the montage) is STILL on WXII (though they have also carried Inside Edition, Access Hollywood, and I think Hard Copy over the years)!!

I never liked channel 12 growing up as a kid. when I visiting galax, virginia we got their station and they always pre=empted the game shows at 10 & 10;30, so we always watched the other nbc affiliate that came in wvva tv 6.
