  • This is still the old "X Factor" methodology. Now, the more common technique is to produce a full body turn to put yourself into a powerful position to swing through the ball.

  • 50-51 second! FTW!!! hahaha

  • tommy hilfiger makes the most ugliest clothes known to man

  • Great video for those who are just now learning how to swing, otherwise pfft not much there. This is not to say he is incorrect however. Problem is that after getting all torqued up like he suggests then how many mortal human beings can actually repeat that same swing over and over, striking the ball well, untill you quit playing golf or die? I think pratically nobody. Here is my suggestion for adding 10 or 15 yards...Grip the club at the end of the shaft. Try it and you can thank me later.

  • This ll cause a nice back injury... Better to have a complete body swing...

  • I agree! The overall action is going to give you better power. I really like the video.

  • X Factor is, indeed, a predictor of power, but I think it is / should be just a byproduct of a good overall action. In fact, the measurement you should look at is the shoulder turn / hip turn differential just after the player starts down. The X Factor should actually increase v. what it was at 'the top'. 90 / 45 at the top, and then, say, 88 / 36. Conversely, if you saw 90 / 45, then 75 / 40, there would be no benefit, powerwise. I get the idea behind the tip, though.

  • @f0cusen I also just noticed you are a subscriber of Clemshaw (Shawn Clement). You should know this by what he teaches: a sound, natural swing within the human body limits. Has totally helped me take my games to the next level!

  • @f0cusen No, the X-factor method (restricting turn of hips compared to shoulders) is not generally accepted as the best method any more. For the average person, doing this will more likely cause injury than to help your swing. In other words, it may only work for those few REALLY strong and flexible people.

The most clubhead speed comes from a tight radius turn around a pivot point (braced on the left instep for a righty golfer). This is created by as much turn as YOUR body can handle.

  • @kbakken1 No the oldway is to turn your hips and shoulders pretty much the same amount like VIjay Does but Tiger has a big shouldern turn but he does not turn his hips so much which creates seperation and alot of lag in tigers case.
