    Actually this is Romanian volk music. Romanian and Roma (Gypsies) are different people. This particular music is specific to Transilvanya, which was a part of Austro-Hungarian Empire. Béla Bartók was Hungarian,..the connection is obvious.

  • He stole the music from the Roma (Gypsies) and then adapted it, similar to Handel.
