Macbook vs MSI

I forgot to mention the Macbook has a 4 hr batt life and the MSI has a 2 hr batt life....both have the same battery. OSX is just better at conserving battery life. The screen resolution on both is 1280 X 800.

Disabling that would allow for a faster boot time. However since windows requires an antivirus it wouldn't be recommended to disable that for the sake of a faster boot. Looks like Mac wins again. Hey lets see that old beater P3 beat a mac from the same error.

From the time the OS Boot screen showed until the time your start menu and desktop appeared was 31 seconds on your laptop and 36 seconds on Jesse's MSI....so congats you win by 5 seconds. However that could easily be due to the difference of programs each computer has loading up while windows boots. I know Jesse has and antivirus and thumb print scanner soft ware as well as a twitter client all booting with windows.

I watched you video, nicely done except for the rap music in the background. You have a better bios or at least a quicker one than the bios found in the laptop in Jesse's video. Some manufactures allow you to set short cuts to allow for quicker boot up. The only accurate measurement is to count from the time the OS load screen appears till the desktop screen appears. Oh and what the hell kind of clock to you use when you time things? Your way off on the time for Jesse's laptop.

Windows 7 is the fastest OS from Microsuck on boot up to date. So I find it VERY hard to believe you can get XP to boot faster. Jesse has optimized Win 7 to use both cores to boot and yet is still took longer than the Macbook. What are the specs of your laptop. It must be extremely impressive if it can operate faster than both of the laptops in this video. God help you if you say something stupid like your laptop is a pentium 3!!! If so your a moron!

While I agree that the Mac is using a superior central processor, I disagree about how much of a difference that makes on boot up and application launching. I also agree that the bios plays a small role in the conservation of energy. However the OS plays just as big of a roll. I greatly enjoyed this video and I am a fan of macs. Given the overall specs of both laptops they are close enough for a fair comparison.
