It's cool to see washers from other countries in action- thank you for posting this video! Great choice of music IMO, too.
Can't wait to get my Miele W4842 tomorrow... but I sure wish our washers in the USA ran on 240 volts! The higher voltage is ***MUCH*** better in my opinion.

@NipkowDisk i think so, too. Coz as i know the highest temp. on washers in USA are about 70°C, right? and the heating element only has about 1500 Watts...
Here e.g. my old miele W 832 had a 3100 Watts heating element and washed really fast^^. but american machines are fast, too coz they have a warm water hose :D we just have cold water inlet and on special machines a warm water inlet^^

@mielefan18 Correct WRT Miele 120-volt machines, they are max. 70°C and the heating element runs about 1500 watts as you mention. Most of the hot water here runs about 50°C to the hot-water inlet and we tend to use chlorine bleach (too?) frequently on our whites. I have found, though, that I only need to use chlorine bleach once in a blue moon with my W4842 (***OUTSTANDING*** machine!), oxygen bleach works very well for the most part. Sure wish I had a 240-volt machine, though :-)

@NipkowDisk i just use chlorine bleach for whites and white towels
Programe: Cottons 60°C with Pre-wash (for bleach), Main-wash for detergent and softener^^ :D
But in my opinion, you can´t get hygene results with a 70°C machine like a 95°C machine
