A national coalition of women's groups called on CBS on Monday to scrap its plan to broadcast an ad during the Super Bowl featuring college football star Tim Tebow and his mother, which critics say is likely to convey an anti-abortion message.

What's the big deal? If you are "PRO CHOICE" you must absolutely love and respect, support and encourage things like that commercial.

It is their CHOICE and you of all people stand for "choice".

Tim Tebow's mom CHOSE to let Tim live.

That commercial satisfies both camps. The PRO-LIFE people and the PRO-CHOICE people. Anyone who gets mad about that ad is illogical and crazy.

Why women have abortions

1% of all abortions occur because of rape or incest; 6% of abortions occur because of potential health problems regarding either the mother or child, and 93% of all abortions occur for social reasons (i.e. the child is unwanted or inconvenient).

So I dunno where you getting this 56% by rape.

Considering 1 in 4 (give or take) pregnancies end in Abortion so that means that at least 13% of Pregnancies are because of Rape (Not the mention that all women wont abort). Also take into account that Women are not fertile the entire month, and about half of rapes fail to penetrate (so lets say 1 in 10 result in pregancy (a VERY high estimate)

Annually there is about 4,000,000 Births. a 56% Statistic suggests there are more Rapes than Births!

anyone who has a problem with this commercial shouldn't call themselves "pro-choice." bitching about people not liking abortion means you're not respecting their choice, you're now pro-abortion.

The reason it is controversial is because the powers that be don't want dissent from the agenda:

abortion to fix population issues leading to too many resources consumed, global warming (better reduce people), and other state driven "facts". They are all intertwined to mother Earth worship. It is trying to assert itself as the dominant religion in the world. They of course will deny it, but they don't want competing "world view" or "religions". So world view = religion.

@graysonTW And they have the choice to abort the baby as well. Pro-Choice supporters believe its a women's right to chose whether they want to have the baby or not. Well, I should say TRUE Pro-Choice supporters, because there are many people that wear the "Pro-Choice" label the way you mention. As a Christian, I'm against abortions, but I don't believe the government can tell you whether or not you can or cannot have an abortion.
