If I behaved that way in public, my parents would have stomped a mud hole in me. I don't believe in this time out bullshit. If your brat is screaming and thorwing a tantrum, You do have the right to correct it, by beating the fear of god into that kid.

I don't approve of beating a child (as it teaches it that violence is acceptable), but in situations like this, a heavy crowbar across the head would be a fair punishment...
