All you aspiring drummers out there working out your double bass drum rolls ... open up your ears and listen to what the master louis bellson is saying. The world needs more drummers with such a clear perspective on musical role that this drummer has.

They way Louie talks about soloing, you'd think he's indifferent to it because he's not good at it. Then you watch some videos on here and shit a brick house

When the rhythm section says, during the sound check, "I can't hear the horns," I'm sure 99 times out of 100 it's not because they need a monitor adjustment: they just need to pipe down. Besides, listening to what's going on and fitting in where you belong is the job of everyone in the band just as it is in the symphony, the choir or the chamber music ensemble.
