@Domodeath I'll reply in video form sometime this weekend.

@TheMudbrooker None of that is in the Bible, in fact I challenge you to give me the verses.
-
@Domodeath Do you mean facts like the earth is a flat disk supported by pillars and covered with a clear dome? Or maybe the fact the dove's blood cures leprosy? How about the fact that the sun goes around the earth?
-
@TheMudbrooker Have you tried researching the scienctific facts found in The Bible?
-
The creation up to the Exodus is bogus. It is a poorly plagiarized account of the Sumerian tablet's facts. The rest is the history of the Hebrew, God's actual chosen people. The Jew didn't come about until Gypsies in the area around Poland (Khazaria) decided to convert to the teachings of the Hebrew Bible rather than Christianity or Islam. The Gypsies then made enemies of all Europe by their manipulation of money and the theft thereof. Jews are not the chosen of God...The Hebrews are!.

i'm a christion and say the bible has contradicion.

the original scripture was in hebrew, not any other language.there for the truth can be found only in the tora, which is the hebrew bible with its original translation.

well said, ....I guess the best method to interpret the bible is the "pick and choose" method. It NEVER fails.....it is the literal mother of all 35,000 plus denominations....lol. Good post....

@Raptor302: That reveals a basic intelligence which survived the onslaught of your indoctrination. How delicious it is that fundys with their rigid literalism are forever combing the apocalyptic books to decipher what every line of text actually 'symbolizes' - cognitive dissonance triumphant!
And they never seem to ask themselves the obvious question: given that the Bible is divinely inspired, how can i be so sure that God WANTS me to take it literally? All of it, some of it, or even ANY of it?
-
@owlcowl Indeed, and that was a problem I ran into. When I got to Daniel or Revelation, I had no criteria to differentiate the literal from the metaphorical. The beasts with many eyes was obviously not literal, but where would I draw the line if I insisted on a literal interpretation for the rest of the bible? Like you said, there's no guidance there.
Wow, it's almost as if someone was making it up as they went along. Hmmm...
