The way the cabinet is made and the mesh is attached reminds me of some of my old Luxman gear. I even recapped one once that had various components marked as Toshiba. Wonder if they worked together in the 70's. Wouldn't surprise me one bit. You got some really high quality kit on your hands there.
Very nice high quality machine. That is very interesting about the wires that are twisted and run out on the outer part of the chassis. I wonder if that maybe acting as a chock of some kind?
