  • Hi Smalin: I remember you recommended a book in a comment before about the effect of music buildup but I can't find it now. Can you please mention the book name again?

Also, I think if you show the bar delimiters visually that would be awesome. I sort of lose the bars from 3:00 onwards.

    Thank you very much.

  • @boudeyful It was probably David Huron's book, Sweet Anticipation. As for barlines, I sometimes show them and sometimes don't; either way, some viewers are dissatisfied.

  • how long time did you need to create this video ????? (Sorry for my english i am 15 years old and from germany)

  • @GranTourismoPrO I don't remember ... probably several days ... maybe a week?

  • Is your program compatible with other genres?

    Say,big band jazz.

  • @whyumadtholol Sure ... the only issue is getting the data (MIDI) corresponding to a recording. It's easier to find scores for classical compositions than it is for jazz.

  • Great music and a great mind of a great composer. To bad he couldn't hear or maybe he heard

it from a higher source who gave him that gift of beauty in his music.

  • what you are talking about? Your videos are great :) be proud of what you have accomplished :)

  • having said that the violin and piano would still be my fave

  • i should like to hear the sort of music guys like beethoven ect would make with modern tech. if it would be as deep and moving as this and others

  • @letoon35

You don't know you are talking about. What do you mean by "sense of life" and "trying to be smart?" Sounds to me like the whole dialogue was over your head. Some of us enjoy movies that actually have a decent, unique premise. You would probably rather watch transformers. It is a shame that "The Man from Earth" and movies like transformers both fall into the category of sci-fi.

  • i personally think that this perticulary piece should have its beginning more staccato when being performed. it will help with the build up.

  • @sophie3howl Haha, you should see the movie 'Knowing'... xD

  • Beethoven is better than anything in music

    The BEST

  • this is the perfect theme song for the apocalyptical air of 2012

  • Now that's how I would define the term "sound carpet"! :D
