You could have disproved my point if you had merely responded in a friendly, intelligent and kindly way. Instead you chose to be a jerk. Why is that? Who gave you the right to determine what is or is not class? People like you are the ones that are destroying this nation with your hatred and cynicism, i.e. lack of class.

@calihartley2010 Why would you say such a cruel thing? Names are a social matter and every culture is different. Just because you as a white person think certain names are "terrible" doesn't make you right, in fact it shows you to be quite ignorant and very bigoted. The name Hartley in your username is Scotch/Irish and means "roving deer", so you're named after an animal. California is from a novel from a queen named Calafia, so you're Calafia Roving Deer. Shall we laugh at you now?

Ape Saperstein - the organizer and coach - is the short guy on the left. ;-) I recognized many of these players right away. They came to play in my home town in central Illinois when I was a kid.

Early TV shows like this and To Tell the Truth presented black contestants at a time when most of the US citizens were still leery of, if not downright opposed to, social integration. I applaud these shows for their "common sense courage" and know they helped re-shape our opinions about American culture.

I must say that I enjoy every one of these "Whats My Line" clips and I am but 22 years of age. What makes me sad to wonder is what happened to the edicate and class this country once had? I was not around at that time, but I believe that its a matter of taste, not age, to appreciate classic television.
