THIS IS WHAT the Linux community needs to go mainstream I really appreciate the time that you spent creating this tutorial. I'd love to see more of these; soon I hope to be able to contribute some of my own.
What applications did you use to create this?
Thanks again!

Hey, guys, I need help. I'm double-booting with both XP and Ubuntu 8.04 desktop version and i can't hear a sound when I watch videos online and I need to hear this tutorial in Ubuntu. When I'm writing this comment I'm running XP to hear what he is saying. Thanks, in advance.

Sounds like PulseAudio might be messing you up. I would suggest installing pavucontrol from the Synaptic Package Manager and then launching it with alt-f2 (and then typing its name). It will give you options when you right click to chose where the audio should come out. If you have two places to output the audio it might mess up with flash and other stuff like Wine. That stuff has happened to me before.
