  • Copyright is all about control. That's the problem.

  • @animateclay

Companies that count number of downloads as money lost crack me up.

Most people who can actually afford a $20 movie ticket will not go through the hastle of downloading it.

Of course, if it's a shitty movie I CAN SEE PEOPLE DOING THIS

If movie companies aren't competing we will just feel sorry for them and give them a tax payers bail out, they shouldn't feel so bad.

  • Most artist's operate under contracts to majorc orporate organizations, whether a record label , film production company, publishing co., ad agency, etc. The corporation the artist WORKS FOR gets the lion's share of the profit via licensing, like when you hear an artist's song on a commercial. Most of these co.s are very careful to take steps to keep the artist from being able to own the rights to their own work. The 75 year span is because WALT DISNEY keeps lobbying to protect Mickey.

  • @SabStudiosMusic

Are you stupid? There is so much I could address here, but the beauty of Copyright is that it protects the ARTIST'S work in their own LIFETIME. Which is why copyrights lapse and writing and music become public domain.

  • Karma. May god have mercy on your soul. Jai Shri Ram!!!!

  • This is not copying, this is insulting. YOU SUCK!

  • ♫ Copying can be theft.♫ Stealing these things leaves less pay left. Copying doesn’t settle the score if payment’s received no more. ♫ Copying can be theft.♫ If I copy yours I pay no dues and the artist or writer is feeling blue – that’s what copies can do. If I protect my content, you’ll better understand how hard we work to make the stuff that’s so high in demand! Not paying for a thing, that is what’s called “copying” Sharing content with everyone -for artists, is just no fun. ♫

  • everyone who obtains intellectual property without proper means of payment should rot in hell because they are aiding in the loss of THOUSANDS OF AMERICAN JOBS..... this is not the democracy America is supposed to be...where we hurt fellow citizens livelihoods by being ignorant to the fact that intellectual property creation is a job and without being subsizdized one way or another will hurt OUR CULTURAL CAPITAL and that CC my friends, is WHAT MAKES AMERICA GREAT

  • People can freely make new works. People can also boycott the larger media companies, of which they are extremely vulnerable to. People just simply making the decision not to support organizations that have essentially decided to behave like criminals and work against far more vital interests and rights such as our fundamental freedoms.

  • New York state cannot have it's own copyright laws. This would impact interstate trade.States cannot do that due to fundamental constraints on such things in the Constitution.

  • @vixter1980 Wanna bet?

  • @kotraquin 75 after the creator's death! The whole "copyright works to support the artists" argument goes down the drain.
