  • hello I slight stumbling block I had was fear of using the technique, fear that it would have negative effects...seems like my anxious minds tryin to stop success, any idea how to combat that?

  • @TheNadster2 You have put your finger exactly on what anxiety is: focusing on what you do not want. Imagine instead, how good you'll feel 15 minutes after you find relief with the technique. The anxiety technique is ultimately using the same things you are already doing with your mind to freak yourself out, but in a way that makes you feel better. Hope that helps. - Mark Shepard

  • Holla! Have you tried anxiety zero technique (I think its at anxiety0.info)? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my cousin pretty much cured anxiety and panic attacks with it.

  • Hello there! Have you considered anxiety zero technique (It is at anxiety0.info)? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my friend pretty much cured worries with it.

  • @hascott30 Sure, but you can spare yourself from the unnecessary grief and can in fact improve the probability of success. It is not about denial, it is about quelling the brain's struggle with uncertainty to enable more clear thinking. If the event is unavoidable, anxiety won't make it better any way. Bottom line is that anxiety does not help in any scenario.

  • But telling yourself you WILL have a positive outcome isn't REALISTIC. Sure, it may lower your anxiety at the time your ancipating an event turning sour, but the outcome might still end up being worse than you thought, especially if you have your hopes/expectations up too high, and then you'll stop relying on "positive" outcomes and adopt a more realistic point of view.

  • Is that a bodhrán on the left?
