Metroid II: Return of Samus 100% Walkthrough Part 1 - Alpha Metroid

Here's a walkthrough of me going through Metroid II: Return of Samus for the Game Boy. I am going for 100% pickups and am trying to beat it with the best ending. There is no sequence breaking in this game, as you can't get the main items out of order, but you can get a couple expansions early.

Yep, the Game Boy Color has a nice color palette for this game which was obviously carried over to the Game Boy Advance, and thus, the Game Boy Player. And I switch to the stretch mode so there would be no black borders.

I start out the game, going through the beginning area of SR388 and looking for the first Metroid to kill. Samus finds a Metroid, but it evolves into an Alpha Metroid. You still just need the regular five missile to defeat it. After defeating it, I unlock Phase Two (notified by the earthquake), and head into the first Chozo City.

I have this game, but not a gameboy color, I use gba with it's unrealistic colors on this game.

Yeah, this is how it is for the GBC and GBA colors. Super Game Boy was a bit more unrealistic. IIRC, there's a fan hack that has nice colors for the game.

c'est le tout premier metroid que j'ai jouer. j'y joue depuis que j'ai 5ans (j'en ai 17) et je le connais par coeur j'e l'ai et essayez d'imaginer le défi que représente pour un enfant de cinq ans de peser sur select pour avoir les missiles pour tuer le monstre qui sort de la coquille. je me sentais puissant :) le bon vieux temps(soupir)
