either saints row the third was set in 2003 or there are just people who dont change there calendar for 8 years

This is probably just because its the third game - hence 3/3/03. Definitely not 2003, since Saints Row was set in 2006, Saints Row 2 was in 2011 and The Third is most likely 2016 (the McManus sniper rifle 2010 and 2015 support this).
