They used to have one of these types of things at Great Adventure in Jackson NJ USA.
Except there it was a stand up room only and the projection was "actual" video.
Because of the properties of illusion and natural eye manipulation anyone in the room while a video was playing sensed that they were actually there (even though they were standing still the entire time).
