  • @GoToHell987987 because it strikes the string in different places changing the length of the string, making the pitch higher or lower like the frets on a guitar. But I like to say it strikes a 'tangent' because it sounds cooler :P.

  • I want to ask that why different pitches can be played although 3 keys share the same string on the clavichord?
