On Thursday, December 22, 2011 Mesa Fire Department had the opportunity to honor two heroic good samaritans at Mesa Fire Station 215. Vice-Mayor Scott Somers and Battalion Chief Fernando Valenzuela made the following presentations: Retired Fire Captain Dale Miller; for applying an AED to a patient that had stopped breathing at a local tennis resort...
Dad, Allen Robinson; for applying CPR to his 4 month old son that had stopped breathing and was turning blue. Both patients survived due to the quick actions of these two heroes and were able to attend the ceremony along with the 911 Operator who happened to be on the phone with them for both calls, Jill LaRosk.
