Isnt this conservation of angular momentum?? mvr is a constant, since m and r are decreasing( mass and radius ) velocity has to increase to keep it a constant!!.. can anyone tell me if m right or wrong?
It goes faster in motion because the 2 ends where fires are melting the candle wax are holding melted wax providing the ends the right mass to make it swing, as the melted waxes are falling due to their weight and the movement of the swing, the swing itself will also swing even faster because of the waxes.
one side of the candle burned rapidly at the beginning, evening out the mass on both sides rather quickly. When the difference in mass became zero, at that exact point and because they were already rocking up and down. when the candle loses some of its mass on one side it would rock even faster because of 'nothing' on the other side holding it back to do so. and so on.

support the axis higher than its half-lenght and it might do a full rotation!
