yeah I'm surprised that a train will pass this fast right through the heart of the station. People should not even be on the platform at that time, it's quite dangerous I guess. That would freak me out.

The train station has a barrier, about 3-4 feet tall, that separates people on the station from the passing train. The barrier is about 7 feet the passing train. I took this video while leaning against the barrier. And yes, the experience was a bit scary, it's hard to keep the camera focused when that bullet train is passing you, 7 feet away, about about 160 miles per hour.

In Kingston Rhode Island, they let people see the Acela at 150 mph. From what I see, 300 series passes full speed through shin yokahama?
