GMC Denali XT Hybrid Concept. The Denali XT Hybrid signals not only GM's intention to remain competitive in the lucrative midsize pickup market, but also its plan to lead the way in alternative fuels. Instead of the 6.0-liter V8 found in the automaker's new hybrid full-size pickups and SUVs, the Denali XT Hybrid incorporates an E85-compatible 4.9-liter V8 and delivers combined gas-electric output estimated at 326 horsepower. Designed in conjunction with Australian subsidiary Holden, the Denali XT Hybrid's unit body construction is uncommon among midsize pickups, as are its folding midgate, height-adjustable suspension and 23-inch wheels.
