Sunday 02/11/2008: one of the 7 1/4" gauge steam locos that normally operates on the ground railway at the Thames Ditton Miniature Railway was tested on the multi-gauge raised track, which normally plays host to 5" and 3 1/2" gauge locos.
This video is a first take at filming while parallel running, there will hopefully be a more successful 2nd attempt soon (the lead to the controller on the class 50 got dislodged half way round)! Most of the background noise is that of the sound module on the class 50.
Steam loco: 7 1/4" 0-4-2 Hercules class No. 2003 "STEPHEN" driven by Steven Henley
Camera: Euan Jennings
Camera Train: 5" BR class 50 (owned by Pat & Ian Tiplady) driven by Jonathan Wright
only problem is he cant use the injector because its feed is from the tender, he can only use the axle pump. when we did it we put the tender behined the driving cart and got a xxl ruber tube so they can join!!!
