@JRBreason Jiu-Jitsu originated in the 17th century. The founder of Judo practiced JiuJitsu but wanted to come up with a more modern and practical version and incorporate an element of sport in Jiu-Jitsu. Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu originated from Judo, and is very different from Jiu-Jitsu. It's important to make the distinction.

@JRBreason Thats cool. I just know that a lot of people get the two mixed up - BJJ and JiuJitsu.

yeah. brazilian jui jitsu is a brotherhood style of japanese jui jitsu and japanese juijitsu is a brotherhood style of judo they all have up top and ground game, but bjj is more known for its ground and judo is more known for its take downs, because in judo a weak man can take a strong man thanks to judo being the art of useing its opponents momentum agaisnt him

Typically if your the wrestler your going to overpower your opponent when you clinch. Because judo's techniques our based on standing grappling, i'd considered it s type of wrestling along with collegian wrestling, sub wrestling, etc. I'm a small heavyweight so its not worth trying to overpower a guy who's 265 with a hip toss. I just prefer to be able to function on my back better than trying wrestle.
