Penn State adult learners: a growing trend

Adults learners are some of the fastest growing groups of students at colleges and universities across the nation.
There are more than 51,000 adult learners taking graduate and undergrad courses, both credit and non-credit, at Penn State and that number is growing.
Pennsylvania has one of the oldest populations, with 2 million residents over the age of 65. That is why it is important to teach adults about new technology and train them for the jobs of the future, according to experts.
Penn State administrators, faculty and staff keep up to date with new learning trends through an annual conference in order to provide the best services available to adult learners.
