President Barack Obama gives a speech at George Mason University, Patriot Center, in Fairfax, Virginia on Friday, March 19th. Amongst his supporters, Obama gives the last push for his premiere health care reform package in the form of a prep rally. Nearly one year after election we wanted to analyse the state of Obama's support on the brink of a Congressional vote on one of his most controversial and far reaching policy proposals. While the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has stated the new proposal will reduce the deficit over the course of 20 years Obama urges that special interests must be put aside to provide health care to more Americans than ever before. At one point, Obama stated that recent college grads, under the new plan, would be allowed to stay on their parents insurance plan until age 26 and that preexisting conditions could no longer be used as a barrier to receiving health insurance coverage. What are your views on this critical vote? Democrats feel confident that they have the votes to pass the "game changing" reform package this Sunday afternoon.
