  • The E250 CDI has a more characterful engine with its twin turbos but doesn't have a 7th gear...does a the e-class even need a 7th gear?

  • The E250 CDI is a 4-cylinder, makes a lot more noise then the E350 CDI and sounds way more "raw". Because of the 5-gears, it usually revs higher and thus increasing the sound levels + increased fuel consumption.

To answer your question, yes, the E-class certainly needs a 7th gear.

  • When we picked up our E-320 from the Factory we were told just go easy for the first 1000miles or so, but we only made it to 800miles. (Got on the Autobahn one day and couldn't resist)

  • @ChampWarlordTH and u prolly have civic 1.6

  • @guitigefilmpjes Yeah I wouldn't say Mercedes 4 cylinders were the best most refined engines I've come across either. I drove a lot of C180's and C180K's which were 1.6's with superchargers. They always sound dreadfully very raucous and tappety like an old 8 valve Vauxhall engine. I was very disappointed by their 4 cylinder engines but the 5 and 6 cylinders are much better with smoothness and refinement. They are a totally different ball game to 4 pots.

  • men, the car goes from 230 km/h to 255 km/h with slow speed... It's state or you accelerate without full throttle?

  • @Ficker0180

7th gear - diesel it is good , but not something to say WOW...

  • @RiiDDiiM E420 CDI It's a twin turbo engine and have 7th gear..

  • 3500rpm at 220, thats a good transmission !!!
