  • Draper is intellectually honest. He had a fine showing against William Lane Craig in a debate about a decade ago.

  • So far, all interviews from the conference seem to be worth viewing. Thanks!

  • @testchandra "I believe in God, only I spell it Nature" Frank Lloyd Wright

  • Kudos for not oversimplifying the design arguments or for dismissing design out of hand!

  • "intelligent designer" - this loaded with monotheistic bias.

  • @testchandra

Same can be applied to god(s) plural :)

"Laws of universe are very precise; there is perfect organization throughout in the universe."

That all seems subjective, you see "perfect" organisation, I do not.

  • @jpkushin i was actually quite surprised by Dr. Paul drapers performance in that debate. He did resonably well considering that he is not a seasoned oral debator like Dr. Craig.

  • Man, these videos are so dry. They look like they were recorded for WGBH Boston in 1982. That's not a bad thing, though. I still like them.

  • This is actually VanInwagen's Wider Design Argument, which, actually, I am quite sympathetic towards. But there are a lot of objections to this reasoning; you should read up on it and make yourself familiar with the objections. This doesn't preculde Draper being an intelligent academic; people who disagree with us can be intellectually admirable as well.

  • Laws of universe are very precise; there is perfect organization throughout in the universe. You think that fundamentals particles are joke and the way those probabilities collapse in to fixed reality for us is just a coincident. Do you really think with human limitations, you will be able to differentiate nature from God or to fully understand these mechanisms? NO.

  • Ooops, wrong Paul Draper.

  • Draper was my teacher many moons ago. He is indeed intellectually honest and one of the finest academics I know.
